Description (Service) King Township of King provides services to older adults and persons with disabilities who qualify * qualified applicants must ensure all obstructions are removed from the end of their driveway and their house number must be visible * call 905-833-4055 for more information * may take up to 24 hours from the end of storm for snow to be removed

Markham clears row of snow (snow windrow) created at end of driveway after street plowed for older adult residents and residents with physical disability * Crews clear centre portion of snow windrows (one car width only) on all roads following a 7.5 cm (3”) snow fall * windrows will be cleared within 8 hours after crews plow the road (the Town reserves the right to decide when snow windrow service will take place * windrow left from sidewalk plow not included in service * those receiving this service must: remove any obstructions at the end of driveway, keep house number visible and illuminated at all times, notify the City if they move from the address on file or if at any time a person(s) moves into the home on a permanent and/or temporary basis * residents aged 60 and older or 12 and younger or current and valid doctor’s certificate confirming they are physically unable to clear snow must be provided * residential homes with rear lanes do not qualify for this service * call 905-477-5530 for information

Richmond Hill Snow Windrow Removal Service for residents who are 65 years of age and older and residents with disabilities - for both groups only residents with no one younger than 65 or physically able to perform this work living with them * snow windrow is pile of snow at the end of driveway left after snow plows clear the road * Applicants for the service must keep the end of their driveway free from obstructions and their house number must be visible * must register for service each year in October on website or call 905-771-8800

Vaughan provides windrow-clearing service for all residential driveways * windrow machines clear about 80 per cent of snow left by plows at the end of the driveway within four hours after the plow has passed, not complete driveway

Whitchurch-Stouffville residential sidewalk and windrow snow clearing service to older adult residents and residents with physical disabilities where there is no able bodied person living in the household at no cost * contact 905-640-1900

Neighbourhood Network coordinates volunteer snow removal service for eligible older adults and persons with disabilities recipients must be resident in Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King Township, or Newmarket, 65 years of age, or older (low-income seniors who receive a Seniors Tax Credit will be given priority), or resident with a disability documented by an Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) cheque stub, a wheelchair parking pass, or a doctor’s note, there must be no able-bodied adults living at this address * Non-matched applicants will be put on a waiting list and contacted only if a volunteer becomes available, application form on website https://neighbourhoodnetwork.org/?t=programs&id=1
