Aurora permit not required for injury or removal of up to 2 trees within 12 month period, where tree diameter is greater than 20 cm (8 inches) or for the injury or removal of any tree with a diameter of 20 cm (8 inches) or less or for emergency work, removing dead branches * see website for permit application form for all other tree cutting or removal * permit must be posted on property when trees being removed * contact the Parks Division to report cutting or removal without permit or for more information 905-727-3123 ext. 3223

Markham - Tree Preservation Bylaw, Property owners require permit before injuring or destroying any tree in Markham with trunk diameter of 20 cm (about 8 inches) or more * see website for exemptions such as dead, dying or diseased trees * Apply or obtain permit application online
