Description (Service) Focuses on improving the mental, social and emotional well-being of these families while helping to minimize devastation that a diagnosis can cause * support Group, financial assistance program and other services for individuals and their families impacted by life threatening illness * accepts financial donations, items for backpacks, toy drives, knit materials and has gift catalogue * newsletter;
Rainy Day Fund: monthly program that provides emergency payments directly to the utility companies and landlords, ensuring that each patient has a warm, safe place to call home while recovering * provides grocery gift cards & hospital transportation and parking costs * reviews other special requests beyond this;
Rainy Day Gifts:gift packages available for children, women and men * online form asks about recipient’s clothing size, wish list and interests to accommodate where possible;
Camp Scholarship: allows children in remission to reconnect with friends and activities * program is offered for free, and provides funding for a camp of their choice; sports, music, art, science, horseback riding, water skiing or other activities they missed most during treatment;
Camp backpacks provides kids with a camp backpack, filled with items they will use while enjoying their camp experience * provided to the kids receiving camp scholarship as well as to oncology camp in Ontario * over 800 backpacks across Canada;
