Description (Service) Self-employment support program for newcomers * program has 3 phases

Phase 1: 2 day sessions * support with business and personal profile, owning a business in Canada, industry information, skills assessment

Phase 2: 2 day session * support with business concept, competition, finances, target market

Phase 3: 12 half day sessions including group workshops on business development, individual business coaching and support and access to business tools

Eligibility Newcomers who are: Permanent Residents; applicants for Permanent Residence with a letter from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada informing them that their application for landing had been approved; Convention Refugees; Live-in Caregivers; CLB Level 5 minimum
