Description (Service) Provides programs and support to children with special needs and their parents, educators and caregivers including:

Fill the Gap: One-to-one, specialized tutoring program for special education students and students at risk for academic failure, including students with attention deficits and organizational weaknesses, executive functioning weaknesses, learning disabilities, non-verbal learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and others * works with students who are struggling in their current school setting * works 1:1 with each student to individualize their program, * Areas of focus include: early language concepts, pre-reading skills, phonemic awareness, hand writing skills, reading, comprehension, counting and math fluency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions), critical thinking skills

Clinical Services School advocacy and support, parent management training, behaviour management, counselling
FAMILY TALKS program: informal support group, meets monthly
Art Program: after school community group commencing Winter 2018 with art therapist
Yoga class: Saturday mornings

Resources include: a professional resource lending library and workshop room, educational and professional software, computers, WI-FI, printer, TV for video viewing, photocopier, laminator and a kitchenette * the library contains numerous books, DVDs, manuals and journals for lending and reference * subjects include parenting, special needs and mental health literacy * offers a variety of resources that can be used to support home therapy, education and play skills

ABA material for families setting up home therapy * parent education workshops * social problem-solving and interaction sessions for children/youth with social difficulties * Girls Group * clinical play sessions for the young child with engagement, joint attention, communication emphasis
