Description (Service) Provides services in York Region and Simcoe County for individuals of all ages with ASD and their families

Ontario Autism Program (OAP) - services for children and youth with ASD to support at home, at school, in the community, and as they transition into adulthood *provides flexible, family-centred services based on each child’s unique needs * helps children and youth with ASD develop Social, Communication, Behaviour and Daily Living skills

York and Simcoe Community Services and Supports - supports families or individuals connecting with Autism Services for the first time and Families/individuals who have completed intake and are requesting support/information

Learning Opportunities - Workshops Free, professional and educational workshops are available for respite workers, family members, friends, agency staff who want to learn and understand more about ASD * offered in a group setting and consist of a variety of topics related to Autism Spectrum Disorder including: Funding, School Support, Anxiety, Visuals, Executive Function, Communication, Behaviour, Intro to ASD

Groups offers variety of social and evidence based opportunities for individuals of most ages * Groups may include parent, sibling and groups for the individuals and will change based upon interests, needs and availability

Consultation Service provides goal directed supports to families who require additional support, above and beyond what can be provided through our other Community Service options and/or are presenting concerns of a time sensitive/urgent matter

Children's Respite Flexible Funding - provides limited amount of funding from the Ministry of Children and Youth Services for individuals 17 years of age and younger with autism * serves as an enhancement for families to access respite services

School Support Program Provides short-term evidence-based support in both day treatment and school settings * works in partnership with the York Region District School Board, York Catholic District School Board, The York Centre and Blue Hills Child & Family Centre * Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is used to provide an individualized approach to assessment and support, intended to build capacity to support those with ASD in their learning environment

Provides these services In partnership and through Developmental Services Ontario - only in York Region: **Day Support Program for Adults- offers a variety of life skills, community, volunteer and/or recreational opportunities for adults
**Foundations / Employment Supports - provides adults support to achieve goals pertaining to employment, post-secondary and community integration
**Residential Services - provides access to residential supports in Ontario

Hours Mon to Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Dates respite funding application applied for annually between Jan 1st to mid-Feb

Eligibility Must have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) * respite funding for 17 years and younger * programs in partnership with DSO for individuals diagnosed with autism 18 years and older
Application Referrals by parent, doctor, agency staff, school board (with written permission from parents) * all persons referred to Kerry’s Place Autism Services must have proof of diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
