Description (Service) The Community Department provides a variety of services for individuals of all ages with ASD and their families 
 
Services in York Region and Simcoe County:  
 
ABA Program  
Support provided to families with individuals 17 years of age and younger to help develop Social, Communication, Behaviour and Daily Living skills;  
This short term service teaches caregivers the strategies needed to maintain and generalize skills; Parents or professionals may download the ABA intake form at www.ctn-simcoeyork.ca, complete and fax with the diagnosis to 705-792-2775 to be placed on the ABA wait list 
 
Community Consultation Service  
Support provided to individuals of all ages to address challenges through customized supports and resources; Autism Consultants meet with the individual with ASD and/or the "support team" at set locations and dates within their community * service available within 1 week to 3 months depending on area and time of year 
 
Day Support Program for Adults  
This program is only accessed through Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) by calling 1-855-277-2121 - It is offered in York Region and may include a variety of life skills, community, volunteer and/or recreational opportunities for adults who qualify for DSO service 
 
Foundations / Employment Supports (18 +) - York Region Only  
Support to achieve goals pertaining to employment, post-secondary and community integration * all Foundations requests must now go through Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) and applicants will need to meet criteria for their services * contact DSO directly at 1-855-277-2121 
 
Groups and Camps  
A variety of social and recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages - Groups include parent, sibling and groups for the individuals; Groups and camps change based upon interests, needs and availability  
 
Group Learning Sessions (GLS)  
Information sessions available to parents / caregivers in a group setting; A variety of topics are available and are added/updated on an on-going basis, including: Funding, School, Anxiety, Visuals, Executive Function, Camp, Future Planning, Next Steps, Transitions etc 
 
Respite Flexible Funding - giving parents a well deserved break!  
A limited amount of funding from the Ministry of Children and Youth Services for individuals 17 years of age and younger - This funding serves as an enhancement for families to access respite services (parent relief) in their community - Application available on the website and must be applied for annually between January 1st to February deadline date which will be posted on website January 1st of each year

Application Referral to Kerry's Place Community Services may be made by a parent, individual, doctor, other agency or school board (with written permission)
