Description (Service) Municipal elections occur every four years * the municipal election provides eligible Newmarket residents with the opportunity to select 1 Mayor, 1 Regional Councillor, 1 Ward Councillor, and 1 School Trustee

Voter Assistance Centre locations will be open during the voting period for those who need assistance with voting, or getting access to the internet or telephone at:
Magna Centre, 800 Mulock Dr, Newmarket
Ray Twinney Complex, 100 Eagle St W, Newmarket
Newmarket Seniors Meeting Place, 474 Davis Dr, Newmarket

Voting assistance centres open: **October 19, 2018 from 12 noon-8 pm
**October 20, 2018 from 12 noon-8 pm
October 21, 2018 from 12 noon-8 pm
October 22, 2018 from 10 am-8 pm

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old, and resident of the Town of Newmarket or a non-resident owner or tenant of land in the Town of Newmarket or their spouse
vote ONCE in the Newmarket municipal election regardless of how many properties owned or rented Municipal Voters' List is list of people who can vote in the municipal election - separate from provincial and federal elections lists * must be on Voter's List to vote
Application To verify if individual is on Voters List and information is up to date visit https://www.voterlookup.ca/ * contact MPAC (1-866-296-6722) as soon as possible to report changes

Eligible electors on Voters List receive Voter Information Letter in fall 2018 containing unique PIN to cast a ballot * visit web address or call telephone number on Voter Information Letter to access ballot, enter your PIN and your date of birth to begin voting * Voter Assistance Centres during the voting period for those who need assistance with voting, or getting access to the internet or telephone * there will be no paper ballots for 2018 municipal election
