Description (Service) programs to reduce crime, reduce the number of victims and repair the social and individual harm that crime causes, programs and services for reducing unemployment, isolation and poverty, circumstances that escalate rather than decrease the chances of re-offending

Court Diversion Program fee for service initiative * selected individuals with federal charges are provided with an opportunity to be diverted from the traditional court process while still being held accountable for the offence * sanctions may include Community Service Hours or programming as deemed appropriate by the Crown Attorney

Direct Accountability Program alternative to prosecution for adults 18 years and older who have been charged with minor criminal offences * involves accused persons being held accountable through relevant and meaningful community-based sanctions
Eligibility for the program is determined by Crown Attorney’s office * Sanctions determined either by senior Crown Attorney or Community Justice Worker and could include restitution, letter of apology, volunteer work, charitable donation, attending program or presentation and/or entering into a Peace Bond

Record Suspensions Support support to obtain record suspension allows people who have made positive life changes to be freed from many of the negative impacts of having a criminal record * see website for details on process, eligibility and support available Reintegration Support Servicesprovides support to access employment, job and life skills, housing and food security to increase the capacity of individuals and families to work towards building economic independence

Anger Management Program eight (8) educational and therapeutic sessions utilizes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and aims to support each participant’s unique goals * objective is to increase an individual’s capacity to understand and manage his anger REACH program provides drop-in group based sessions, support and referrals to individuals to support them in engaging in healthier relationships * voluntary program see alsoHealthy Youth Preventative Education (HYPE) Program and Partner Assault Response (PAR) Program -
