Description (Service) Society encourages community beautification through various activities, including several civic improvement projects (planting and maintaining public and private areas), recognition of privately owned front gardens, monthly meetings with expert guest speakers on a variety of gardening topics, holding public exhibitions including flower shows, and promoting the circulation of horticultural materials

Bursaries 2 bursaries for Thornhill students pursuing post-secondary studies of horticultural-related topics at accredited University or College
Hours Contact for hours * monthly meeting Wed 7:30 pm - social time 7 pm * plant sales 9 am - 2 pm
Dates Year round activities * plant sales May 13, 2017 and Sept 9, 2017 in community centre parking lot * garden tour July 9, 2017
Meetings Monthly membership meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except August, November and December) in Rooms B1 and B2 of the Thornhill Community Centre at 7:30 pm

Membership is open to all interested in horticulture, gardening and or community beautification * while most members reside in Thornhill, anyone can become a member, regardless of area of residency * new members and guests welcome
