Description (Service) Bagpipes and drums in a fun group setting * regular band and a Grade 5 competition band * acts as ambassadors of goodwill for Aurora Legion * participates in parades, memorial services, and a variety of events in and around the Aurora area and represent the Town of Aurora at Highland Games and festivals throughout Ontario
Hours Rehearsals Thu 6:30 pm - 9 pm

Eligibility Membership is open to anyone
Application People who wish to learn the bagpipes and play with the band will be taught by an accomplished player from the band
Languages English
Fees Students will provide their own practice chanter (approximate cost $120) * tutor material and basic lessons will be provided free of charge * students will usually take approximately one year to master the fingering on the practice chanter * piping students will provide their own bagpipes (approximate cost $1200) and can expect to take another year to master the pipes well enough to play in public performances
