Description (Service) Encourages and provides the highest calibre of music education possible * promotes high standards of music in each community * O.R.M.T.A. Newmarket & Area branch is the local arm of the provincial organization (ORMTA) * currently comprised of 45 Registered Music Teachers and managed by a volunteer executive * offers local music teachers periodic workshops to further their professional knowledge and skills * holds four general meetings each year where teachers network, organize activities, and discuss teaching issues * hosts a variety of student events annually * maintains online music teacher directory
