Description (Service) Offers residential programs, nonresidential programs and programs for children, youth and their families and caregivers as well as programs geared to the support and education of staff of other child serving systems * specific services include: Intake Service, Counselling Services Individual, Family, Group, Play Therapy, Intensive Services, Specialized birth to 6 services, Triple P (positive parenting), Children's Therapeutic Residential and Day Treatment Services 
 
Hosts several services:  
1. Children's Centralized Respite Service for families already receiving services from a children's mental health organization; 
 
2. Centralized Consultation and Assessment Service for child/youth mental health agencies only;  
 
3. Focused Child Welfare services  
 
3. Family Mediation and Information Service for anyone separating or divorcing provides:  
a) On site mediation services available to families who are before a judge in court that day, to deal with minor issues and judge-referred mediation on narrow issues related to family problems such as disagreements about the care and custody of children after separation and visiting arrangements;  
b) Off site family mediation for resolving care and custody disputes, visitation arrangements, child and spousal support payments, the division of property and assets and general decision making -- an inexpensive alternative to court system; 
c)Free Mandatory Information Program on impact of separation on children and adults as well as overview of the court process and alternatives to litigation-offered twice weekly in the evening * call FLIC to register 905-853-4816;  
d) Family Law Information Service (FLIC) at the Courthouse 50 Eagle Street West, Newmarket, ON Phone 905-853-4816; 
 
Separating or Divorce Walk in service for anyone looking for information regarding separating/divorcing * offers alternatives to family court system * screens cases on an individual basis to determine appropriateness for mediation * provides information about professional mediation, community services and supports * contact FLIC to set up an appointment. Mon to Fri 9 am to 4 pm; 
 
4. Former Central East Region Alternative Dispute Resolution Program - partnership with York CAS, Durham CAS, Simcoe-Muskoka Family Connexions (Simcoe branches only), Kawartha-Haliburton CAS and Highland Shores CAS (Cobourg only): this program, helps to find solutions for families involved with Child Welfare, is an alternative to court, and helps families to work together with the CAS to find solutions * different approaches include - Family Group Decision Making, Child Protection Mediation and Indigenous Approaches * call 905-773-4323 ext 305 or 386 for more information
