Description (Service) subsidies for recreation programs, day camps and youth leadership camps * subsidies provide children from families with low income the ability to take part in programs offered by municipal recreation departments;
Positive Leisure Activities for Youth (PLAY) subsidy program fee assistance for recreation programs * for children to attend recreation and sport programs, such as swimming lessons, dance lessons, or sport programs, in your local municipality * fall, winter and spring * children ages 4 to 18 and single parents;
Summer Day Camp Subsidy fee assistance for children to attend summer day camps offered by local Parks and Recreation Departments * camp fees are covered in full, not all camps available for subsidy, space in camps not guaranteed * children ages 4 to 13 * available July and August, approval period Feb to July;
Youth Leadership Camp subsidy fee assistance for youth to attend summer camp * youth ages 13 to 17 * available July and August * approval period for subsidy is February to July * Limited spots available

Eligibility Positive Leisure Activities for Youth (PLAY): Children ages 4-18 and single parents receiving Ontario Works living in York Region *families must have children and meet at least one of the following criteria to be eligible:  
* live in social housing and pay rent based on their income  
* receive Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program or Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities 
* receive Child Care Fee Assistance and earn income that is within low-income guidelines for York Region 
 
Summer Day Camp Subsidy: Children 6-13 living in York Region and meet at least one of the following criteria to be eligible: Live in social housing and pay rent based on their income, or Receive Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program or Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities 
 
Youth Leadership Camp Subsidy children ages 13 to 17 living in York Region and meet at least one of the following criteria to be eligible: Live in Housing York Inc., York Region non-profit Housing, Co-operative Housing Community in York Region or Receive Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program or Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities
