Description (Service) Rent Bank Program provides financial assistance to those who are at risk of losing their home or place of shelter, individuals who are homeless or living in a temporary shelter * also assists people with obtaining first or last month's rent once every 3 years * LEAP Emergency Financial (Low-income Energy Assistance Program) assistance is a one-time payment per calendar year for eligible applicants facing energy related emergencies

Individuals and families; 
 
Homelessness Prevention Program: a person can apply if they: have not received this before; live in central York Region; are at risk of eviction, mortgage foreclosure, homelessness, or are living in a temporary shelter; do not receive Ontario Disability Support Program or Ontario Works assistance and have sustainable income. 
 
Rent Bank Program: a person must live in central York Region; not be receiving Ontario Disability Support Program or Ontario Works assistance or Rent-Geared-to-Income; are at risk of eviction because they owe their landlord rent; and have sustainable income 
 
Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) Partnership between Ontario Energy Board and Salvation Army: a person is eligible if they are facing energy related emergencies including energy arrears for electricity, natural gas, and oil; security deposits; reconnection costs
