Description (Service) Serves the communities across York Region through the efforts of dedicated police officers and civilian members * organizational structure includes Operations and Administration branches * District Headquarters are located in Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Georgina, Vaughan, and Markham * YRP Headquarters located in the Headquarters building in Aurora * Support services include: Emergency Response, Emergency Preparedness, Dispute Management, Public Order, Search and Rescue, Air Support (police helicopter), Canine and Traffic 
 
Community Services is responsible for building partnerships and engaging citizens in the community through innovative outreach programs, crime prevention initiatives and volunteer opportunities * York Regional Police has large Volunteer and Auxiliary Units who assist members on a regular basis at parades, fairs, and other community events, and engage in car and foot patrols * Visit website for more information
