Eligibility families who live in York Region on first come first served basis who have: - children 12 years and under - net income of $36,000 or less - where major risk to health, safety or wellness of family member - families experiencing exceptional circumstances - parents that cannot care for children during day because employed, enrolled in education or training program or exceptional circumstance - file income tax every year Requests for Child Care Fee Assistance may be considered to support exceptional needs where health, safety or well-being of a family member is at significant risk

Families already receiving must attend eligibility intake interview once a year to continue
Application Call for pre-screening 1-888-703-KIDS (5437) and press option 3 with income information ready * will be asked standard set of questions about child care needs and income * will receive income verification form to be completed and returned and list of child care providers in area to choose from * eligibility for Child Care Fee Assistance determined at Intake Interview * see website for more information
